De Zeeuw and Magnusson to form new-look Valle Esports line-up

Grand Prix United

Remco de Zeeuw and Patrekur Magnusson will form a new-look driver line-up at Valle Esports, with the Italian team announcing the duo for the upcoming 2021 Asian Formula 3 campaign. Remco de Zeeuw will make the step up to a full-time primary seat with Valle on the back of six GPVWC Academy rounds, in which he managed to score three podiums. However, he is no stranger to the team, since he also drove for the Italian outfit during the 2020 Grand Prix United Macau GP, where he classified 14th in the main race. Remco de Zeeuw: "I got a little taste of Grand Prix United last season as a stand-in for Valle in the Macau event. I'm super happy to be part of Valle again, but this time as a primary driver. I'm also looking forward to working with Patrekur, since we've had some nice races together in the GPVWC Academy series." Patrekur Magnusson will be driving the second car at Valle Esports and is no stranger to his new teammate. He also participated in four rounds of the GPVWC Academy series this season and managed to score one podium, while also participating in 2 rounds of the Formula Challenge season. Patrekur Magnusson: "2021 will be my first year in Grand Prix United. I know Remco de Zeeuw very well and I can't wait to work with him and the team in the upcoming season. I think we'll have the perfect line-up going into the new championship." Team principal Massimiliano Ribolli is also optimistic about the teams' chances for the upcoming season. He'll be looking to improve on a tough 2020 F3 season, in which they managed to score six points over the course of the entire season. Massimiliano Ribolli: "It's nice to be back for another season, after a frankly weird first season in the league for us - we had some issues with our line-up, and the team itself was also going through some massive changes at the time. 2021 has brought us some much needed fresh air, and that has been translated in an amazing chain of brilliant results, which we want to get here in Grand Prix United too."

"As I said, we had issues with our lineup last year, and that's why I wanted to go for a committed pair of drivers. For various reasons, I've been watching the GPVWC Academy series very closely this year, so it's not a big surprise to see two of the most interesting talents in that grid in our team."

"Remco was very keen in racing here, and I wanted to reward that with one of the primary seats. He also raced with us as reserve last year, so I'm really happy to have him back for this campaign. Speaking of Patrekur, he has shown that his potential is immense - he's still very young, but he has already shown big improvements in his pace and race craft in the last few months, and this is just the start, of course. I will be taking the reserve role."

"I'm really looking forward to the season, I feel like it will be a good one for us compared to the last one. Even if some people thought that we were going to be fighting for the bottom positions, we have proved them wrong, taking our first wins in FSR, GPVWC and EERC. We are following our plan for this year very smoothly, even exceeding our better expectations. Some teams here will have very experienced line-ups, but I feel we can still get some very good results."
