Daniel Brewer has had a successful round in Spielberg. With a third place in race one and a fourth place in race two, the STAX Racing driver continued his streak of top five finishes and finds himself sitting in third place in the driver standings. The British driver has proven to be one of the most consistent drivers so far, securing two podiums in four races, but remains optimistic that there is more pace to find for the third round in Barcelona.
"The first two rounds have been okay. Qualifying 12th at Imola really made the first round harder, but from that point onwards I managed to recover and get some important points on the board. In Austria, our pace was a lot better compared to the rest of the pack, but we are still some distance behind the Nocturne and THR guys."
"I believe Nocturne and THR are working together closely, so we still have something of a mountain to climb. I feel that we understood how to drive the car a little bit better in Austria, but especially in the slow and mid speed corners we seem to miss some stability. It's definitely something we'll look to figure out come Catalunya."

With his eyes set on closing the gap to Nocturne and THR, Brewer knows which areas they need to improve on and has a clear vision on what the goals for the rest of the season would have to be.
"Ultimately, I don't think we can be too displeased with our first two rounds, but our goal has to be to at least challenge for both the drivers' and teams' title, and right now our performance hasn't quite been to that level. However, we are still in the hunt and I feel that we've made the most out of the package we've got so far, so there's not too much to complain about either."

STAX Racing currently sits second in the teams' standings - 21 points behind Nocturne and one point ahead of THR - and it's not only Brewer who has been delivering consistent points for the Canadian-based outfit. Team mate Lewis Bickers has scored a total of 31 points and finds himself fifth in the drivers' standings. That's why Brewer remains very positive about working with his team mate and the teams' chances going into the next four rounds. "Working with Lewis has been good. We are good friends from University. He's done very little sim racing but has taken to it quite quickly. With me spending some time away from sim racing, and Lewis being so green to it, we maybe miss that little extra technical knowledge needed in rFactor 2's current state, but I can say that we've been working really well together."
